Jourdanton Girls Regional Qualifiers competed Monday at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Tx.
As a team the girls Place 9th among the 60 Region 5 schools present!
Bella DeLeon placed 6th overall and lifted well over the automatic state qualifying total with 865 pounds.
Bella DeLeon will the first Jourdanton Girl ever to lift at State as a Freshman!!!
Miriam Bocanegra placed 4th overall and 1st in 3A Large. Miriam squatted 405 pounds, Benched 205.
This was the second trip to Regionals and will be her first trip to State, and Miriam is only a Sophomore.
Rayven Van Heeswyk, Senior, Placed 3rd overall and 2nd in 3A Large.
This was Rayven's 3rd appearance at Regionals and will be her 2nd time to qualify for State.
Lauren Wells, Senior, Placed 3rd overall and 1st in 3a Large.
This also Lauren's 3rd appearance at Regionals and will be her 2nd time to lift at State.
Lauren is currently Ranked 3rd in State!
Great Job to all 9 of the young women from Jourdanton who qualified and competed at Regionals.
