📈 Did you know? When student attendance increases, it directly impacts state funding allocated to support crucial programs that enhance student performance and engagement. Additionally, higher attendance rates can help districts secure additional funding from federal and other sources. Let's work together to reach our goal of 96% attendance! Every day counts for our students' success.

"The owl is a time honored emblem of knowledge and wisdom. Being older than the rest of you, I am asked to advise you from time to time as the need arises. I hope that my advice will always be based on true knowledge and ripened with wisdom" Today, during National FFA Week, we want to take a moment to honor the amazing Ag Teachers who work tirelessly to inspire and educate the future leaders of agriculture. Their dedication, passion, and commitment to shaping young minds are truly unmatched. From the classroom to the field, our Ag Teachers foster a love for the land, teach invaluable life skills, and encourage students to follow their dreams, no matter how big they are. Thank you for all you do to keep the spirit of agriculture alive and thriving in our community. Today and always we thank our Jourdanton Ag Advisors. 📢 Did you know? In Texas, schools are funded based on student attendance, not enrollment! 🎓💵 The state counts a child present if students are in class when attendance is taken each day: 10 a.m. for Elementary and ECC, 9:45 a.m. for Middle School, and 9:15 a.m. for High School. Help us boost our district wide attendance rate! Ensure your child is in school or schedule appointments before or after attendance is taken. If your child has a medical appointment make sure they attend before or after the appointment and bring a medical excuse. Together, we can make every school day count! 🏫✨

News from Jourdanton Elementary.. Mr. Camp is our teacher of 3 weeks and Mrs. Robertson is our instructional aide of 6 weeks. Horace Man provided Mr. Camp and Mrs. Robertson with their goodies this time. Mr. Camp has gone above and beyond to prepare the 5th graders for great AVID skills to succeed in their upcoming year for 6th grade. Mrs. Robertson is always willing to help rather it's short notice for cafeteria duty coverage or her help in the classroom.
